Custom Embroidered Golf Shirts

Golf Shirts, Polo Shirts, Tennis Shirts

A golf shirt, also known as a polo shirt and tennis shirt, is a form of shirt with a collar, a placket with typically two or three buttons, and an optional pocket.

Over the latter half of the 20th century, as standard clothing in golf became more casual, the tennis shirt was adopted nearly universally as standard golf attire. Many golf courses and country clubs require players to wear golf shirts as a part of their dress code. Golf shirts are commonly made out of polyester,
cotton and polyester blends, or mercerized cotton. The placket typically holds three or four buttons, and consequently extends lower than the typical polo neckline. The collar is typically fabricated using a stitched double-layer of the same fabric used to make the shirt, in contrast to a polo shirt collar, which is usually one-ply ribbed knit cotton.

What are performance golf shirts?

Performance golf shirts are 100% polyester. They are made of polyester fabric that moves sweat away from the body and to the fabric surface, where it evaporates. As a result, performance golf shirts keep golfers dry and comfortable.  Performance shirts offer moisture wicking, antimicrobial and UV protection performance.

Embroidery and Heat Transfers on Golf Shirts

The most common form of promotional Golf Shirt decoration is embroidery and heat transfers.  Embroidery is an elegant and stylish way to decorate or personalize any golf shirt.

Heat transfers are getting very popular with performance golf shirts because of the lightness of the fabric.

Embroidery and Heat Transfers are used at Stitchy Lizard to provide you with the best quality custom golf shirts.
